Bathroom Poetry is a heartbreaking account of the teenage years as lived and told by Ophelia. In the town of Arcata on the Northern California coast, "just up highway 101 from Eureka- which is far from San Francisco and ever farther from Los Angeles and San Diego," Ophelia is practically raised by her surroundings. Hippies, party animal college students, and her eccentric Native American grandparents all have to fill in to replace her vacant Mother and absent father. When tragedy strikes, Ophelia has no choice but to search for answers and healing while trying to hide the guilt she feels and the truth about what happened to the dancing boy from her High School. You'll laugh, then cry, relate, then cry again.

What they aren't aware of, are the raging fights inside Frey's own mind that he struggles with every day. With an over-bearing mother, a mostly absent father and his own mind messing with him, will Frey be able to handle their revenge? A group of friends teams up, coming up with a plan to get back at Frey; all with a different reason. But Frey responds to everything a whole lot different from what they expected. Charlotte sat there unmoving, tears falling down her cheeks. She could not do anything as she watched her sisters casket go down into the ground. She did not look to her older brothers for comfort, she did not look to her parents. She just sat there and sadly watched her sister and bestfriend, her twin, as she got burried in the ground. Her heart felt like there was an empty void in it, a missing-or rather-a dead piece. The sky opened up ontop of them, though non of them cared, they welcomed the rain and what it brought. For Charlotte, it meant new life. A life without her twin. Charlotte's never done anything without her sister before, but now she's going to have to. ~~ Charlotte grew up with her twin being her best friend, the one who helped her through the toughest times in her life. They had a connection that astounded people.The pain of losing someone so close, of someone who was literally like your other half, is one that no one should have to experience. But Charlotte did. Now, after her twin's death, Charlotte will not only have to live life without her twin, but learn to get close to people again. With struggles of self worth and depression, Charlotte has a hard time accepting her life as it now is. She even gains an unlikely friend but is hesitant to even let him in her life.
