Reign, a high school heart-breaker has never felt any affection towards anyone he dated. He thought there was something wrong with him until his best friends Drew and Floyd suggested that he could be gay. He's scared to accept that though, after all his dad's a major homophobe. 

Being raised from a rich household and parents that are hardly there make it difficult for Reign to have a normal family. They just had a child so they had someone to give their wealth to when they died and Reign knows it. He knows that he can't continue to become a famous runner like he hoped for. His dad already has everything planned out for him right up to his death bed. Not to mention the completely white straight fantasy wedding.

What makes it worse is that he falls head over heels for no one other than his teacher. It couldn't be the boy down the street, or the nerd? No, it had to be his maths teacher. The one that's strictly off limits. Like Reign ever let something like that stop him though.

Octaveus was depressed. He knew it, but no one else did. He hid it, just as he hid his scars. He wasn't human either; he hid that too. He hid almost everything about himself from everyone, in order to minimize the ridicule. His mental state, his thoughts, his scars, even his questionable sexuality. But that only fed into his sadness. Drew was insecure. He didn't like standing up for himself in fear of saying something wrong. He didn't even change in the main locker room for PE, he went in the stalls. He was anxious. So when he goes to high school he is really scared, because he finds out that Carson, the main guy who used to torment him is Mr. Popular and his in mostly all his classes. Reuben tries to avoid him as much as possible, but it seems Mr.Popular takes a liking to him. So basically, Mr.Popular doesn't think about the kid he used to torment, but Reuben will always remember the guy who made him want kill himself at some point in his life.

It really doesn't help when you have two tormentors picking on you every single day with no do anything to stop it. Since it was his senior year all he had to do was hang on for the next ten months. Everything will be alright, right? Sadly it won't because life decided to throw a curve ball at Zeke's head by adding more pain other than what his bullies do to him.
