For Team Snagem, life was simple. Wake up. Eat. Steal Pokémon from unsuspecting trainers and ship them off to another criminal syndicate named Cipher who turns them into Shadow Pokémon. Go to sleep and then wake up and do the whole thing all over again. Yes, everything was going smoothly, until some jackass blew up their lab and made off with the device that allowed them to steal Pokémon and uses it to dismantle the organization. To make matters worse, it was their top Snagger. And because of this event, the most powerful criminal syndicate in Orre now has their full attention focused on him. Wes soon finds himself in a battle against Pokémon with virtually no weaknesses, and with little means to stop them, he is hard-pressed to succeed, until something within Wes causes the tide of the battle to turn giving rise to a power that Cipher wasn't prepared for, and a romance that Wes didn't count on.

N's son Neptune has long accepted that his own son died in tragic circumstances. So when he gets an unexpected call from a stranger in Galar, claiming that his son is alive and well, he doesn't know what to think. This unidentified man also claims to be a member of the criminal syndicate Cipher. It's suspected that they aided Team Plasma's last revival, but why would even Team Plasma know the location of a baby who supposedly drowned when he was only one week old? Naturally, Neptune and his friends want to find out for themselves, but this is an International Police issue as well as a personal one. They send two promising young officers, Triton and Sam, but that won't be enough. They also enlist the help of a woman from Orre, Heather. She's a bounty hunter, hacker, frighteningly strong Trainer and most importantly, she can see the auras of Shadow Pokémon - which may well be necessary if Team Plasma and Cipher really are working together. Evil teams aren't the only enemies awaiting these young heroes in Galar. Heather thinks she's seen it all. She thinks she's immune to falling in love, but a mysterious and eccentric young man might just prove otherwise... and it might just impact the investigation. Not to mention the appearance of a maniac from 300 years ago... ★★★ CW: Rated mature for language, violence and overcoming abuse. Timeline: 75 years after Pokémon Colosseum, 69 years after Pokémon Black/White, 61 years after Sword/Shield Regions: Galar, Unova, Orre, Sinnoh/Hisui ★★★ This story can be read on its own (all references to the past will be explained), but it is also a sequel. I'd recommend reading my other stories to avoid spoilers and get familiar with the OCs. They're best read in the order they were written: 1. Homecoming 2. Fool's Gold 3. Battle Armour 4. Bloodstone 5. Obsidian 6. Azurite 7. Turquoise 8. This story 9. Mars 10. Mars 2/Hour Before Dawn This story also spoilers parts of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

This book is part of a series. If you have not read the other books, then you won't understand what's going on here at ALL. Please go read 'Not Everyone is a Steal-Type' then 'Take an Extra Step, GOH the Extra Mile (The Prologue)' Before continuing. Both can be found on this account. (There's also a reading list dedicated to this series.) __________ Ash failed to save the world alongside Goh and even lost his existence in the process... OR SO HE THOUGHT! Thanks to knowledge from a girl who calls herself Yuki Kazeko, he can prepare for the final encounter with the Evil Professor Ceries in the future. (Alongside her, of course! They're both fighting for their own respective worlds.) You would think this would be an easy task for one who came from the world that CREATED Pokemon and loves them with all her heart, right? Sorry to say, but a change in reality isn't as easy as 1, 2, 3. Yuki is afraid of what Pokémon are capable of. From being able to cause fires just by breathing or cause someone to become poisoned just by being touched... that isn't something she's used to. That, alongside her own difficult life challenges she faced just adds on to her fears. With one of the most important pieces to saving the world not being anywhere close to emotionally functioning in the amazing world of Pokémon, a Personal Trial and a Special Grand Trial has been created to help her overcome those fears once and for all! Alongside the world's Chosen One: Ash Ketchum, and the many People and Pokémon who remember the events before the world was cut from the main timeline, Yuki takes on the challenge! It's time to take a step forward into a world filled with many similarities and differences: The World of Pokémon! ___ Book Cover Updated: 3/4/2023 (Mostly to express that it's no longer a betrayal series + cleaner/simpler design)
