He grew up in Minnesota, going to school with 800 people just in his class alone - about 700 people more than what Kait is used to. Dylan was popular, the star of the hockey team, and comes off as that typical jerk of a player. When Dylan's father threatens to hurt him and his mother, they decide to move in with Kait and her family. Although their mothers were high school best friends, Kait and Dylan, two of the now most well known juniors in the school, don't exactly get off on the right foot. Dylan is constantly harassing Kait in every way he can for his own amusement. Kait decides she cannot stand him. Secretly, Dylan sees Kait in a very different way than he's willing to let on. Eventually, Kait is able to realize that there are two sides to Dylan: and despite what she'd like to admit, there's one side of him that she just can't help but be drawn to.
