Lola Buxton and Alanis Hunter have been best friends for as long as they can remember. Lola, being a sporty and bad girl, and Alanis being a girly girl, they usually don't agree on everything. But you know what they say, opposites attract.
One day, a school nerd, bumps in to them, Lola and Alanis suddenly become interested in what she is hiding, and follow her to Quatoo Island, right off their coast in Maine.
Once they find out she is a mermaid and what exactly her name is, they flip. Literally. Well only when they touch water.
