     When a child becomes 5 years of age, they're required to become a scholar at Faction Academy. Faction Academy will teach these scholars about a horrible tragedy that occurred 16 years ago in Chicago. This tragedy was so horrifying that the system failed and many individuals lost their memory. Now-with a lot of hard work-everything is finally getting on track, and things are progressing.

     However, there's a huge problem and only one individual is witnessing it...Tobias Eaton. Tobias acknowledged that this new system is corrupt like the old one, and he will make sure that nothing interferes with him telling the truth-the truth that will avenge the death of his loved one...Beatrice Prior.

Tris falls into a state of depression after the war and her impromptu breakup that occurred at the end of it, and returning back to Abnegation--to the same house as her traitor brother--doesn't help. Tobias remains in Dauntless, but while he isn't exactly despondent, he does feel out of place. He doesn't fit in and cannot go on with normal life after everything that happened. Then, Choosing Day arrives. And history definitely does not repeat itself when Tris goes through the initiation process with her old friends and enemies, her ex-boyfriend, and the new sixteen-year-olds, while citizens of Chicago are mysteriously dying.
