Her home, her family, her comfort, the love people gave her, and especially, her sight. She survived through nine long years, and she ended up in a torn, small town. She lived there under the care of an old woman, a father, and two brothers. But eventually that town was attacked as well, and Sylvia, Edgar and Wister were the only survivors. According to an old man from an ancient temple, it seems Sylvia's life is targeted and she needs to use the gift she received from her grandmother to destroy her foe. And regain her sight. Sylvia meets many others along the journey, but she suffers great losses as well.
