Something with so much meaning
Behind those shades of blue
Then suddenly
I didn't see it as beautiful
Or meaningful
I saw it as a reminder
A reminder of someone I could never get back
I now see it as a sign of sadness and hate
Who knew
What those shades blue could do?"

What is blue? Blue is what drowns other emotions that I have yet to control. Blue is the thoughts I have before I rain cold tears over my tile floors so I can slip on them later. Blue is the cause of so much death in the life of a teenager with bi polar disorder. Blue is the empty feeling after you realize you aren't a coloring book. Blue is what stains my heart and brain so I can't feel happiness again. Blue is what I hide from my family and friends because they'd send me away, in a jacket all nice and tight . But blue is not morning rise nor summer days. It's Arctic oceans meets hurricanes and blizzards. It's our main characters deep secret.
