I stayed by his side, helped him and was just there for him every second I could be. The Weaver family has been my second family forever, there was no way I wouldn't be there. It also didn't help that I've had a massive crush on this gorgeous man since I was 11 years old that only grew to full on butterflies every time he spoke to me by the time I was 15. The second I saw her my skin heated and heart skipped a beat. I knew I had to know who she was. I knew I just needed to be near her. After my horrible marriage I knew getting involved with anyone was the worst thing I could possibly do. The problem was the girl of my dreams was standing right in-front of me partially guarded. She knew my family and knew about my past which should scare me away, but it doesn't it only draws me closer to her. My brother is getting married, I'm the best man, she's the maid of honor. If I screw this up even a little bit everyone is going to have my ass. The second I saw him my mouth went dry. His sculpted arms in that t-shirt covered in ink, my body was telling me to run the other way, to not get involved with this gorgeous dangerous man with a military past. Those gorgeous blue eyes however pulled me in and saw right through every part of me. He's my best friends soon to be brother-in-law, and I have legal custody of a child that isn't mine. My Wildest Dreams
Josh and Katie have been best friends since he first moved nextdoor midway through freshman year. They were attached to the hip and acted like they've known each other for years. Josh Parker was the all American boy who all the girls wanted, including Katie. As Katie and Josh's friendship blossomed she quickly formed a crush on Josh, but as the years progressed, her crush turned into love. Five years after leaving Miami brokenhearted after finding out about Josh's engagement to his childhood sweetheart. Katie unexpectedly reunites with her former best friend, and Josh quickly realizes that his feelings for her are not just platonic anymore. * As I'm walking out of work I get a call from my brother to pick my niece up from school. For the past 4 years that little girl has had me wrapped around her finger and I wouldn't have it any other way. Unfortunately I got stuck in traffic on the way over so I'm late for pick up. Once I get to Melanie's classroom I fill out the sign out sheet that's on the wall and make my way into the classroom. I faintly hear Melanie laughing so I know she's not upset from me being late. "Hey I'm so sorry. I got stuck in traff..." I said stopping mid sentence, stunned at the woman in front of me. Standing in front of me is someone I considered one of the most important people to me back in highschool. As soon as I looked into those Caribbean blue that I used to know so well, I knew it was her. It takes her a few seconds to realize who I am. She stands there stunned. We continue to stare at each other until she breaks the silence. "Josh?" She asks not believing it's actually me. "Hey Katie girl." Storm Of Pain
Have you ever seen your life flash before your eyes? Seen all the good memories with you and your friends and loved ones just pass in a few split seconds before the moment comes where you know you'll die? Where you determine if it's going to be a quick or slow and painful death? Well then, same. I risk my life on a daily bases saving others, strangers, kids, families, anyone my team and I can help ranging from terrorist attacks to bombs to pretty much anything. The training that I received a few years ago allows me to do that, it allows me to be the best person that I can be, if I could go back to the day I joined the military I wouldn't change a single thing; the only thing I would've changed in my journey is to have looked after her better. To have kept her safe. But life had other plans with both of us... ***** All ideas in this book are thought of by me. Nothing has been based of another book.
