Now starting his Junior year at the public school, Brighton for his third year goes to Seal Bay Academy for the Gifted. When Jaime locks eyes with an attractive blond while sitting with Brighton before school starts, his heart flutters, thinking maybe this will be a great year. However when a black female student from Seal Bay goes missing, the youth take a stand in their rich suburbia against the injustices of the adults and corruption in their law enforcement while Jaime begins to understand that romance in YA culture is different from real life.
