Lina has always been living the best life she could possibly have.  Good grades, and school was her biggest prioty just so she can escape from her hell that she calls her home.  She never liked her home life, a brother who got everything he has ever wanted, another brother who ran away years ago, a mother who has died, and a father who just worked her hard to be "one of the guys." Lina goes through abuse, neglect, and sometimes starvation for this so called "training" sessions that her father organizes.

It is up to Lina to get out of this life, to be as far away as possible from her father.  Despair and dissappointment, that is all she has ever known from this life.  Never has she expericanced love.  Now, how will she react when this boy tries to befriend her? Her secrets that she keeps bottled up will be tested and sometimes hard to be kept a secret, though, the only way she can unleash them is through a green checkered diary that lies under her bed.
