Emory is a detective. He and his friend William have solved many cases of kidnapping, murder, stalking, etc. When Emory's girlfriend is murdered and signs point to the killer in the case he had just been handed, his professional life and personal life get mixed. The killer continues to taunt Emory and William, can they figure out who their tormentor is or will they eventually be killed themselves?

I bite my lip as I read her text out loud. I take a breath, looking at Penelope. She shrugs at you through the mirror. "How are you doing?" She checks. I shake my head. "As good as I can be, given my role-play with the Chief just began," I groan, "I am going to regret this." ... The Phoenices Volume 1 - Expired
This is the novel I'm writing for National Novel Writing Month, I'm planning on it being approx. 50,000 words, that's 1,667 words per day. This project might continue on into December if it gets enough reads and support, that being a big if. If it's not getting the attention I want it to get for the publishing to be a good idea, then I won't work with it anymore or waste anymore time on a dying novel. You may have noticed I have changed the title, I'm planning on making this a short series, maybe four or five books, unless I can keep coming up with a plot that won't get boring after that. As of right now, I don't even know what's going to happen on the next page. I'm planning on publishing this soon, it'll be available on Amazon when I do if anyone wants to purchase it and help a girl out. I'll post about it when it is available, keep an eye out for notifications and updates on how the editing is coming. I'm still looking for a few people to give me constructive criticism on this piece, help me edit the original maybe, I just need some help with it because I've been staring at it for way too long. "Oh I..I'm I'm..?" The words wouldnt form. I backed up slowly as he cocked his head to the side, confusion on his face. Then he did the last thing I expected, he smiled. A face splitting smile that sent shivers down my spine. This was it I was going to die. I hit some kind of nerve and sent him over the egde. I closed my eyes preparing myself for the worst. I opened them to see him coming towards me. I backed up until I hit wall behind me. He kept coming until he was inches from my face. He slammed his hands on either side of my head, blocking any exit. I kept my eyes on anything but his face. "I'm.. I didn't..please" What happens when the new guy in school is a convicted felon? Sadie is a good girl but she gets lost in his troubled past. I don't recommend reading this if you want a well written story! It's in dire need of some serious editing! Can you really leave your past behind you? Can you lock it away, in the darkest recesses of your mind? Or will it always be there, hiding in the shadows, waiting to pounce? When Lily moved to London from Wales, she thought that it would be a fresh start. But her problems just seem to follow her wherever she goes. Silently struggling to come to terms with the situation surrounding her parents' death, Lily hopes that finding a job and being independent will help her to get the courage she needs to move on. But things can never stay "just good", her demons from the past will always try to rear their ugly heads, ready to pounce when Lily least expects it. When it all becomes too much, Lily doesn't know if she will lay down and take it or fight to the death. And maybe, at the end of it all there will be a knight in shining armour, ready to whisk her away.Complete
