For all of the Delena shippers (including me) that stopped reading the series after L.J. got fired and the ghost authors continued the series, for the ones that need an alternate ending, or for the ones who want more :)

With Mystic Falls saved, and every human's memories erased, everything can go back to the way it was... except there will be no wicked Salvatore brother to mess the order all up again. But Elena didn't just lose the love of her life; she lost her wings too, at court, but soon feels another pair coming-and not necessarily a righteous kind, but an effectual one all the same. She can no longer bear the pain of being without Damon, but there is no other option than to wait for it to become a little more tolerable... unless her first love can mend her heart.
