When something does not go your way, or someone isn't doing something they way you want them to do it, the proper response is to calmly resolve the conflict. Find a compromise, and let it be done. What you should NOT do, is start a massive war between six kingdoms. Some were not quite satisfied with the way the Royal kingdom was governing their lives. And right under the kingdoms nose, rebel groups started to form, each with their own standards as to how the land should be run. These groups grew into organizations, and by the time the Royal kingdom realized what was going on, in the blink of an eye five new kingdoms arose. And it did not take long for these five rebel kingdoms declare war on not only the Royal kingdom itself... But each other as well. The Royal kingdom, Mutant kingdom, Hidden kingdom, Spell kingdom, Dimension kingdom, and Rouge kingdom launched themselves into a pit of anger, death, and thirst for victory. But the will of each individual kingdom to win was so strong, the war dragged on up until now, twenty-seven years later. It's clear there will never be a winner, yet the kingdoms still fight, refusing to surrender. Rob, Preston, Jerome, Vikk, Mitch, and Lachlan are six equally war fuelled men, currently wrapped up in the peak of the fight, each in their own separate kingdoms. They do not know each other exist, and they could not care less either. Each have killed dozens, and each have hearts hardened by war. But what if secretly... They're tired of this war? Of the countless lives being taken? What if one crossed paths and befriended another in the most unlikely of ways, to discover that they're not the only one worn down? Losing Our Battles- A Vikklan, Merome and Poofless Story by user189289

Everyone has their battles. Preston was diagnosed with cancer, leukemia, at 17 years old and 7 years later he was still battling it. He's almost never home, spending months upon end in hospital receiving treatment that is working less and less each time. Rob's parents never seemed to care about him but as he got older and became more independent, they became abusive. Nothing he could do was good enough for them. Mitch couldn't remember a time that he wasn't depressed, that he felt like he was alive. Treatment never seemed to work, meds only made him feel worse and the only thing that made him feel anything was bringing a blade to his skin. Jerome didn't know how the addiction started, but drugs had always been apart of his life. His parents were addicts so it seemed like fate that he would follow the same path, and now he didn't know if he could change. Vikk had turned to alcohol to lessen the pressure on him to succeed and now it was just apart of his life. He tried to hide it and got pretty good at it too, but he was sure that someone knew of his habit. He was drinking his life away. Lachlan was diagnosed with schizophrenia. The mania set in worse as more years passed to the point where he wasn't entirely sure what was real anymore. Everyone has their battles, but sometimes, people lose.

It's been more than 500 years since humanity tore itself apart, a series of natural disasters and nuclear war killing most of the population. The world is still irradiated and people are still dying, but small groups of survivors are making the best of what they have. Everyone is looking out for their own survival. Mitch and Jerome were born days apart, the only survivors of a large family group, struggling with the realization that humanity wasn't as perfect as they thought. Mitch wants to believe that humanity did good. Josh and Simon seemingly have everything they needed, food, water, shelter and each other, but Josh wants more than that. He wants to begin the journey back to where humanity was, to where everyone could live comfortably. Lachlan and Rob were trying their best to keep their little group alive, making the most of the natural resources around them while Preston battles with the idea of religion, old versus new. Harry and Vikk simply want to find peace in their life, stability with a group of people they could trust. There isn't much trust in a world where resources are scarce. All of them dream of more, of a better life. Can they find what they were looking for? This story is also a Vikklan and Poofless story, which is why those ships are tagged.
