Rose Thorne. The nerd of Brookedale High, lowest of the low, bullied for being smart and for having a "perfect life." But her life is far from perfect and she has secrets. She has an abusive father, a past that haunts her and she has to work everyday, but it's not all bad. Her colleagues are her best friends, her anchors to stop her from leaving and they know about her life at school. Everyday starts with a frown for her, but most end in a smile.
