Lucy Prince feels like she has no impact in her own life. She only has one real friend, Taylor. Her parents care more about their reputation and money than her or her brother Hunter. Never mind the fact that Lucy's mother shunned Lucy's older sister Beth because she chose to become a fashion designer instead of going to college. Not to mention that love life of hers; painfully nonexistent. She would do anything to feel like she was making a decision on her own for once.

So what does she do? Sleeps with Charlie Roth of course. C'mon, it was just a one time thing. Okay, okay. A few time thing. She wanted to be wild, reckless and free. He wanted sex. They hated each other so it's not like anything was going to happen. They were being safe, so what's the harm?

A broken condom. That's the harm. Lucy finds out she's pregnant and suddenly her life comes spiraling down. Her parents would probably disown her. She'd be the laughing stock of the school. The gossip of the town. Charlie would want nothing to do with her or the baby. After all, he's the foster kid, the bad boy, the boy who probably couldn't remember a quarter of the names of girls he'd slept with.

How was she supposed to make it through this? She was seventeen after all. She had plans to go to college and get the hell out of this town that she has hated all her life. This is her story.
