John is the new kid, with everything that comes with that title; awkwardness, shyness, and attempts to make friends. Except all of this is made even worse with the fact that he's deaf. Dave is your stereotypical resident coolkid. Except he's not. He's a huge nerd, but most people find him intimidating, what with his shades and the fact that he doesn't talk to anyone. Or rather, that he can't talk to anyone, being mute. The two get paired together and form a close bond quite quickly, to the surprise of most of the school, but to none of their friends'. Jace Summers is someone who is always true to himself no matter what anyone else thinks of him, and he's proud of who he is. He has pastel pink hair, stunning deep brown eyes, and a sweet and silky voice that makes all of the girls swoon. Too bad he's gay though. He has been out since seventh grade and is thankful he has never gotten hate for it, not that it would have bothered him anyway. Alec Walker is someone who everyone knows and likes, though he doesn't consider himself to be one of the popular kids. He has brown hair, hazel eyes with the perfect mix of brown and green, and his side profile could make angels swoon. Neither of those two boys seem very different from each other, both are kind, well-liked, and very handsome. Even if they aren't friends, you wouldn't expect them to dislike each other. Well, sadly that is incorrect. Ever since they can remember, they have each hated each other with a burning passion. Jace thinks Alec is a jackass know-it-all, and Alec thinks Jace is annoying and throws his personality in everyone's faces. Those seem like very small or petty things that they could easily overcome by having a conversation, but both are too stubborn for that. It is a mutual hate that neither will give up. But when one day they get news that seems like the end of the world... it turns out to be the best thing that has happened to both of them. Not at first, but with time. *Has been edited for grammar and general cringe! (And is miraculously one chapter longer than it was originally!)Complete

Karkat Vantas, just your low status ball of rage. He meets Dave after being called into the councilors office. Of course he despises having to "babysit" him the first few classes before an incident happened with the 1950's goons of Cronus Ampora. What will happen later on once the incident is solved, because Cronus had no partake in it? Will Dave be able to sustain his secret in the dark? Or will he be able to trust Karkat enough to tell him his secret? How will Karkat react to it if the secret is revealed?Complete

I know it's like a thing where John and Jade are siblings and like they're related to Jake and Jane, but we're just gonna keep nanna and Jane and popop and jake separate people from separate families. Also I'm gonna have the strider and lalonde families separate because it's just easier that way. Okay so John and his beautiful sister Jade are having their yearly ball at their mansion. However, what they don't know is that their father invited an unwanted guest. One who may just change the very way Johns life swings.
