Darkness has swept over the five warrior clans in the south: Snow Clan, Mountain Clan, Ridge Clan, Meadow Clan and Marsh Clan. No cat knows what is going on except cats are dropping dead and oozing out odd black liquid. Medicine cats are baffled and struggling to discover a solution. With the clans already at war with each other, this is the last thing they need. Tension starts to build between them, accusing each other of the mysterious disease.

Every cat is on edge and Star Clan is keeping quiet. Hope lies in the paws of five cats that posses strange abilities. Who they are and what they can do is a mystery with Star Clan's silence. If these cats are not found, Darkness will sweep over the clans and destroy them all to ashes.
