Dani is a recent graduate and has no idea what she's doing with her life. When her elderly neighbour passes away, she finds herself responsible for their dog, Selkie. When Dani takes her to the vets, it becomes clear that Selkie doesn't have long left either; how can Dani take care of an ailing dog when she can barely look after herself?

March 2024 edit: I am not that proud of how the first few chapters turned out and I would prefer to rewrite them some time. They are not my *best* work, but they are not that bad. I just wish I could have improved them. - Only posted on Wattpad. The sequel to my Dog Man AU! Or.. prequel? No, just kidding. Parts of it just acts like one. - It's been 7½ years since the last story. Everything is going well, perfect, if you might say- Sid has finished college and is finally getting a career started, Sydney has a small job in mechanics and is now getting along with Zuzu, and Peter exists. But something's.. off. Not off, but.. off? It's everything that Sid's worked for, they deserve this, but.. it's just off. It doesn't help that it's back. The.. feeling. It's back. It's not good. I don't recommend reading this if you want a well written story! It's in dire need of some serious editing! Can you really leave your past behind you? Can you lock it away, in the darkest recesses of your mind? Or will it always be there, hiding in the shadows, waiting to pounce? When Lily moved to London from Wales, she thought that it would be a fresh start. But her problems just seem to follow her wherever she goes. Silently struggling to come to terms with the situation surrounding her parents' death, Lily hopes that finding a job and being independent will help her to get the courage she needs to move on. But things can never stay "just good", her demons from the past will always try to rear their ugly heads, ready to pounce when Lily least expects it. When it all becomes too much, Lily doesn't know if she will lay down and take it or fight to the death.
