The average space between two stars is 2 light years. That's quite a bit of space. So when we see them clustered together, seemingly dancing in a circle, they're really not. Each has its own light. It's own path. And while they burn bright together, covering the sky, they will never truly know each other. Perhaps he and I are the same.

Thalia Blake has almost-liked Baxter (Baz) Marlowe for as long as she can remember. They were friends. Kind of. Well...technically he's the brother of her best friend...so what did that make them? She never really got to know, because by the time she figured she wanted to get to know him better, he'd been shipped off to live with his cousins in Sweden. Now it's seven years later, and he's coming back. Thalia's determined not to let that affect her, but what can a girl do when the guy of her childhood dreams comes prancing back into her life?

Follow the journey of a girl in the prime of her life and the people around her as they sing; laugh; cry; fall in love, then out, then in again; and learn what it means to really, really live.
