All it took was one night for everyone's lives to change drastically and for your childhood to be ripped away. The virus spread like wildfire and had devastated the majority of the world's population within a matter of months. The minority of those who survived were placed in quarantine zones or left to fend for themselves out in the open.

Ten years later, you're life is changed yet again when you are bitten and discover that you are immune. Your childhood friend Cry, now part of a rebellious group dubbed the Fireflies, informs you of a group of doctors and scientists within the Fireflies looking to find a cure for the virus and knows that you could be the key to finding it. Vowing to avenge the fallen, you agree to be smuggled out of the zones.

Cry enlists the help of the top two smugglers in the zones who go by the names of Mark and Jack. Along the journey, you befriend the two and they become attached to you: something that they wanted to avoid. While the two only seem to be in it for the pay in the beginning, they have a deeper and more honorable reason to aid you in getting to the Firefly base which, in turn, could be their downfall in the end.

DISCLAIMER: This is a merely a fanfiction slightly based off of the video game The Last of Us and the DLC Left Behind by Naughty Dog. I do not own any characters or anything else associated with the games. Please keep in mind that this story will not follow exactly how the games played out as I will be adding my own twists and ideas to it. If you haven't seen/played the games, I'd suggest that you do so otherwise it may be confusing. If not, feel free to continue.

((Don't give me credits for the cover, credits go to the original owner because I can't draw!)) Two popular YouTubers, Markiplier and Jacksepticeye, have been nothing but simple friends for the years they've discovered each other on YouTube (more so just realized one another existed). But, what they haven't realized is that they both have a growing need to be with each other. But, one question stands: will the boys realize that they are slowly falling for each other when they both get a letter in the mail that they have to attend YouTuber Academy to become a certified YouTuber, and are basically forced to be around each other. Will Sean notice that Mark is falling in love with him? Will Mark notice? Well, even I don't know, and I'm writing it. Guess you'll have to just follow the journey of these two as they become closer than they expected they would. A/N: Now, I know what you're thinking, dear reader. "Oh, this is just gonna be one of those 'they're gonna meet and fall in love' with some sadness and sex." And, let me tell you how wrong you are. First off, I won't have really any sadness unless I can handle writing it. I have a weird condition/disorder/problem or whatever that I can't handle a lot of sadness because the feelings I gain are overwhelming. So, cross out the sadness, or I will mention beforehand if there is even /any/ sadness. Also, this story is going to be unique in itself, because Sean and Mark will run into some weird challenges, bumps, a lot of things during this story, that I've never seen happen in another one (if it has, excuse my ignorance). Join me as I tell the love story of these two amazing YouTubers. Favorite, comment, leave some helpful criticism, whatever! Anyways, farwell my dudes. - croissant

"I can't lose you like I've lost everyone else" I say, something inside of him clicks and his eyes turn angry "You have no idea what loss is" he says through clenched teeth. The tears in my eyes finally overflow and they fall down my cheeks faster than I want them to "Everyone that I have cared for has either died or left me" i pause and glare at him "Everyone-" I shove him back "-fucking except for you" I sob. He straightens and glares at me "So don't tell me that'd I'd be safer with someone else, because the truth is I'd just be more scared" my voice breaks at the end. ****** Ellie is an 18 year old girl who was born into the apocalypse, her and her best friend Riley get bit, they both freak out and don't know what to do. Riley dies not even a day later, but Ellie doesn't which confuses her. She goes to her mother's friend Marlene who helps her out by taking her to two smugglers, Joel and Tess, who are instructed to take her to a group of Fireflies who can reverse engineer a cure for the infected. Joel is in his late 40's, he was there when the apocalypse started and has suffered ever since, until he meets Ellie and his entire perspective on life changes. He finds that over time he begins to have feelings for Ellie, he wants to protect her and shelter her from this horrible life. Can Ellie and Joel save the world? What will happen on their adventure together? Rated M for language, violence, suggestive content, and death.

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Is this fleeting shadow something that can help her or could this mysterious figure be even more dangerous than the zombies themselves? ---------------------- Ranked #1 Apr 10, 2018 (A huge thank you to all who read and voted!) This story is copyright and built from my own imagination. This book was a special request from someone who helped me a lot. This viewpoint has less action than the original. The cover was made by @All_AboutAssymetry. A huge thanks to her! Copyright September 2016. All Rights Reserved. Readers may not copy, alter, or steal this story. We know how it went and how it ended, seen everything there was to see, and read every thought. To sum it all up, it's a story about an unlikely pairing that falls in love. One fell first, and the other fell harder- fell so fucking hard that it destroyed them. They weren't meant for each other, not even close. Some years have gone by. New jobs were worked, and new relationships were explored. But life has a funny way of making you face your past one way or another.
