Alice is the twin sister of Davina, but at a young age she had been taken away, through magic the two twins kept in touch, but when Davina doesn't answer her 'calls' she gets suspicious and comes back to New Orleans, after finding out her twin is dead the witch swears to find a way to bring her sister back.
But, in the process she meets the Mikaelsons, and some other very intriguing people.
