Someday - A Short Story
Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. But little did I know that today was the day that my life would change. It was the day I met her. ---------- A short story. Hey guys! This is my first try writing a pure romance story. I hope you'll like it. :D This story will be rarely updated, since I'm busy with school and stuff. ISN'T IT THE NAME OF A SIDE CHARACTER IN THE NOVEL "Saintess that runs a business"??!!! What do I do? It seems like I've been reincarnated in a Novel that I read in my past life. Hmph. {BOOK ONE} There are five factions. Each had their own reasoning for thinking why the war had happened. Dauntless; cowardice and fear. They strive to be brave, fearless. Erudite; ignorance. They strive for intellect, to be smart and curious. Candor; deception. They strive to be honest. Amity; they blamed the war itself along with fighting. They strive to be kind, forgiving, peaceful. Abnegation; selfishness. So they strive to be selfless. Dauntless are our police. Erudite are our teachers. Candor is the law. Amity are the farmers. And Abnegation are our government. I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. When I was home alone, or with my mother, I would wear I tight black shirt and white shorts. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It confused me. Maybe I wasn't Amity enough to understand. Maybe I wasn't kind enough. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't belong here. So where do I belong?
