She was his calm, he was her storm. He would have never found her if it wasn't because of fate. She would have never become his, if it wasn't because of fate. What a fickle thing this fate is.. puts people in circumstances they could never imagine they would be in...

Raina was the only werewolf in the pack that couldn't shift, and no one knew why. However, she was given an equal say in the pack, even the elders looked up to her for guidance. She seemed ordinary, like any other person in the pack, however if you watched her closely, you would know that she is different.. For how could a girl without an inner wolf be able to command her own alpha?

Gabriel was a king amongst his kind, one so fierce that no one could match his glory. His wrath knew no bounds, none could survive his anger. People pitied one who would be destined as his mate; for she would never live the next day to tell the tale. Her misfortune would cause her to join the many that had died before her. But why did he feel such peace, even if it was for a sliver of a second? Why did he feel such calmness in his heart? What was it about the girl with the golden eyes that caused him to be still?

Why did she make him feel tranquil?

Aubrielle Baine was the first of her kind in a hundred and fifty years. A female pup born to a Primary Alpha Family, the werewolf ruling class directly descended from the ancient ancestors of werewolves, the Lycans. Unfortunately, the last alpha female was the reason two alpha males went to war for the first time and the wars didn't end when they died. Their diety the moon goddess cursed her own children preventing the birth of alpha females and the wolves from finding their fated mates. Enter Lysander Hunters, his father, like Alpha Baine, had been striving to unite the entire werewolf race and put a stop to the wars and the devastation they left behind, now the two are too dominant to submit and unite their packs which were the largest in the world. Alpha Baine also fears for his daughter's title and safety once he's gone. The only solution, have their heirs marry. Ander and Aubry are too dominant to inhabit the same space yet they have a responsibility to their packs and the survival of their race coupled with the disappointing betrayal of their parents' four years in the making scheme, tensions start to rise, but they are not all unpleasant. What happens when Ander suspects that his unexplanable attraction and overprotective actions to his mate was because the fated mate curse was also lifted at her birth and she was fated for him? As enemies threaten on all sides, will Ander come to fully understand his feelings as he does all in his power to keep his mate safe when her life is continuously threatend? And will Aubry trust her own growing feelings for her kind, thoughtful and affectionate mate and give in to what the future promises or will she succumb to her dominant nature and challenge him at every turn for his irritatingly overprotectiveness towards her? The fate of the entire werewolf race might just be hanging in the balance.

The rain continued pelting them, but it felt like its eyes were drawing her into another space, where nothing else mattered. The sudden desire to be closer to this animal was beginning to overtake her mind, especially as her hand neared its head. The whole time the animal only watched her with those large eyes. She imagined it almost asking for her touch. It didn't cross her mind how she knew he'd be soft, or how she even knew the creature was a 'he' to begin with. As her finger just barely grazed the animal, multiples things happened. She felt something shock her causing her to pull her hand back, just as thunder and lightning sounded. When the light cleared the animals' eyes, were narrowed into slits, and it was growling. It was a deep menacing sound that sent her stumbling backward, heart wildly beating. It bared fangs the size of her hand alone dipping its head. Had her touch angered the animal into finally attacking her? She kept moving backward in the rain, slipping in her converses as the creature continued growling. It was then she knew she was prepared to run, no matter what happened.
