Their unlikely connection draws them together, two lives walking the fine line between hope and despair. As their paths intertwine, they begin to rediscover strength in the face of their respective battles, unearthing courage in the midst of suffering. There were two of us. Both drowning in each other's pain. I got lucky and swam up to the top grasping for air. She sank to the bottom and there was nothing I could do for her. She may have drowned but I feel like I did. And now I'm breaking. Because without her why am I even living?

Dan is suffering. Torn apart from the stress of his father and school, he tries to take his life. The feeling of freedom is foreign to him being forced into terrible school my his abusive father. Just before Dan is about to jump off a bridge, someone grabs his waist and holds him back. Dylan is just an ordinary boy. Nothing special about him. Average house, family, income. His only difference that separates him from society is one secret tearing him apart. Suicide affects Dylan more then most, so when he see a poor boy about to do it, instincts kick in and he saves Dan's life. Two broken boys struggling to find their place in life. Will they build each other up or break themselves even more?

"Drowning is not the worst part. Lacking the courage to breathe is." No one saw her struggle. No one saw her scars. No one saw her bleeding. No one saw her tears. No one saw her depression. Stella has had a hard life...her dad was gone, her mother hated her and the most popular boy at school suddenly starts talking to her. Everyone begins to pay more attention to her than usual. Life then starts to get a little worse. The football players and cheerleaders loath Stella. Her mom goes further than usual and Stella can't take it.
