A clacking of teeth, a growl of anger and fear. A small, young shape shifter struggled against a collar around her neck, dearly wanting it off. It was next to impossible with tied back hands and an dullness of the voices in their head Soon, the being stopped and glared at the door that spilled light into the room, revealing an agent of an organization that is feared by her kind, a NOGA agent. No one does escape them. The shape shifter only glared at their captor, itching to tear the human's flesh for what they have done to them. The man only shook his head with a sigh, closing his eyes, "Taming you is much more harder than I thought."

The overwhelming smell of sweat assaulted her. She could hear the sound of chewing gum from the room behind her, the one-way mirror reflecting behind her. Although she wanted to leave and get this over with, after interrogating so many people, Eden knew making the interrogee nervous was the way to go. She leaned on the table that separated her from the burly, despicable man in front of her. Calm and quiet demeanor, a permanent frown etched on his weathered face, and yet, he was sweating profusely. He was a man who had seen plenty of action in his life, and so far, no one could get a word out of him. "So, I'm a Taurus and I love sleeping, plus I LOVE watching the Bachelorette!" The sound of chewing gum stopped, replaced by a snicker, followed by the sound of a smack. All from the other side of the mirror. A grin formed on Eden's face, but then quickly disappeared. "How about you, Mr. Amos? What can you tell me about yourself?" Silence. Eden raised an eyebrow as she sneered, going in for the kill. "Do you like little boys, Mr. Amos? Do you enjoy perving on children?" She then leaned in further, mere inches from his face. Mr. Amos's heartbeat increased. It sounded like a rabid animal trying to escape its cage- and yet his face didn't betray his wild heartbeat. Yet she could see the sweat rolling from the back of his ear, a slow drop making its way over his jugular. Backing away, she enjoyed his reaction and then struck, slamming the table from beside him. "Talk to me, Amos. Tell me the truth, why were you at Sergeant Malcolm's house on Thursday night? To rob him blind or because you wanted to have time to spy on his 5-year-old?" She leaned forward- closing in. "If you lie to me, I'll rip your throat out so painstakingly slow, you'll beg for death." The inhuman part of her peeked through, a low growl mixing with her voice. "Now answer me truthfully. Did you kill Sgt. Malcolm?"

Wren's life is about to change forever - but not how she expects it to. Kidnapped on her wedding day, she finds herself trapped in a mountain cave, unable to return home with no company outside of the inhuman creature that took her. *** "Wait, Wren! Not that way!" It was darker here and panic limited her vision, but she could see it reaching for her; its wings like two huge looming shadows behind it. "Get away! Don't touch me! No, let me go!" She shrieked. She screamed in earnest as a hand took hold of her arm, and then even more when her own hand reached for something to hang onto and grasped at empty air. She had been scrambling towards a sudden drop! The hands hauled her back, but she still struggled. She didn't want to look at it, and she still wasn't sure she wouldn't rather take her chances with the open air instead. "Stop it, I'm not going to hurt you! You'll hit your head on the rock or something. Wren, please!" It knew her name. Somehow it knew her. She was going to die! "Let me go! Stop touching me!" She was sitting on the rocky floor now with her back against an uneven wall, and it was trying to pin her down and hold her still. She kept her eyes turned away and struggled helplessly, but it was no use. It was strong like a human man too, and she couldn't keep it off of her. The wings had moved until they curved around them both and shut out a lot of the light. Its face was so near hers that she could feel its breath brushing against her skin. "Please just look at me for a second. Just look. I'm not going to hurt you." One of the hands grabbed her chin and forced her head to turn, and then she was looking straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. It had a human face too. She had been expecting something monstrous or ghastly, and the surprise made her falter for a moment. He looked young, with a bad haircut and an earnest expression on his face. "I'll let go of you, okay? Just don't lunge around like that anymore, you'll get hurt." He whispered.

"Who's out there?" One of the men yelled. Of course only silence met them. I remained quiet and waited for the group to start moving again. "Maybe it was just an animal." Someone whispered. The person, who I assumed was the captain of the small squad, signaled for them to walk again. They clearly showed fear as they kept going; brandishing their weapons to guard themselves with. "Two are holding lanterns. I'll tell you when you're too close to them." I heard my friend whisper in my ear. I followed the men as I picked up another branch and waited for the right time to break it. They continued to walk through the forest, turning their heads in every direction as if an animal might lunge at them and rip their throats out. I guess in a way I was going to do that. "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive. Her life isn't the kind anyone would want to live but she's managed to survive this long so, what's a few more years?

"Come here, my little one." "Yes, Mistress." I took the chain of her collar again and tugged it. She sat up. "On all fours." She placed her hands on the ground, walking on her knees with me to a place where there was more room. I could see the wonderful wounds I had created on her back. They must've stung still. I stopped walking and tugged her collar again. She quickly sat down on her knees, still with her hands on the ground. The smile stayed on my face when I could see those drowsy eyes looking at me desperately. "Praise me." I demanded. She quickly bent to the ground. "I love you.. You're the best thing that ever happened to me. All I can think of is you, all the time. I didn't know what to do with my life until I met you, Mistress. I don't deserve you. I deserve nothing. I am nothing. You may treat me however you want. You may hurt me, just for your pleasure. You may do anything, just because you feel like it." "Go on." "...I love you. I'm obsessed with you. You're all that is on my mind. Sometimes I just want to.. look you up, just to see you. I have." "What do you mean?" "It's nothing, Mistress." I quickly pulled up her chin. "That's not what I asked." "I.. I try to see if you're home when I walk past your house." I looked shocked at her. I quickly pushed her over. "You what?! Have you never heard of privacy?" Selena let herself fall to her side, covering her head. She was genuinely scared. I clenched my fingers around the handle of the cane, but then let it slip it out of my hands. The sounds of wood crashing against a wooden floor sounded through the room. Selena startled, looking at the cane. She quickly got up on her knees again, placing her forehead on the ground. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm not doing it again, ever. You deserve privacy. You do." THIS BOOK IS MEANT FOR 18+ READERS.
