Chip "Chipsie" Hartford is depressed since her best friend Jesse died.
Chipsie lost her best friend to an accident, but that's not the only thing she lost. She also lost her motivation; the motivation to live and the motivation to do well academically.
If Chipsie doesn't pull her D to a B soon she'll be transferred to The McKendree School for the Socially Impaired, A.K.A. The Depression School.
More importantly, Chipsie's future depends on her letting go of the one thing that holds her down; Jesse.
