The girl who used to infuse every song with as much emotion as possible is worn down with loss and tragedy. Shielding herself from pain and hurt has cost her a lot. But the show must go on.

A tour and an LP don't sing themselves - Kick the Crown are back to impress their audience. Yet things are on the rocks - the band have been literally torn apart and are finding it difficult to mend the cracks.

Somehow they'll mend themselves. But with both love and life on the line, how can one band rise up from the mess they've become?

If My Heart Was a Guitar

18 parts Complete

In an alternative world where one is stereotyped by their taste in music, there's two groups that don't always get along: the rockers (rock music) and the poppies (pop music). Shay Walsh has been defined her entire life, being the daughter of two iconic rock stars. She loves rock music, has tattoos, and even plays guitar. She's used to being labeled. She's used to being envied. She's used to being hated. She's used to being judged. Shay is deeply insecure: she doesn't think she's good enough to follow her parents' musical footsteps, she hates her looks, and worst of all, she has an abusive boyfriend. Shay feels trapped in her life. Until one day she goes to an audition for a local rock band. She meets confident lead singer Claudia, quiet bassist Kurt, funny drummer Ricky, and the sweet guitarist Braydon. Shay finds herself again, learns to love herself, and even learns what real love is with Braydon. But self-love and romance endures a lot when Shay competes against pop girl group the Sparkles, risks losing the love of her life, especially when her abusive ex-boyfriend comes back from the past. Shay understand what love truly is, and she experiences this through her greatest love of all: music.
