The courthouse lived and breathed with the people in it. One trial could touch so many lives, or so twenty two year old journalism student Helena wrote. She often wrote things she - probably - didn't believe. Then there was Julie, the "victim" in the case (no matter how much she hated that word). And Manuel, Helen's adoring on-again-off-again love, who might just make it real between them this time. Everyone in the courtroom assumed it was Julie crying for help, but it wasn't that simple.
