"Truly Horrifying"

The blurb of the book said as I put it back down on my desk.

"If anything, that was definitely was not truly horrifying" I thought a loud. Just then, breaking the silence of the room, my phone made its little notification sound. I went over to check. It was a message from my friend that had moved away recently, not very far. Only about half an hour away. I clicked on her name as the paragraph popped up on my screen.

You are beautiful! If I don't get one back then I'm obviously not a close friend! Send this to 10 people or suffer the pain of Lucy who did not send this to anyone, and the next day a car flew straight into her and she died.

I then sighed went off my messages, put my phone down and lied on my bed.

It was then at that moment in time, I could've sworn that someone's faint voice had said,

    "It's true you know"
