"And little did he know, she was already dead. She had died a long time ago. Her mind was long gone, while her body just floated at the surface. Only he could bring her back, but he didn't realize it. And so she remained dead, until the day her body sunk, too."
Three years later and the emptiness is still left in his heart. It still aches the same at the mention of her name. He still feels the way as he did when he lost her.
You'd think you'd move on, but that's much harder when you lose the only one you could feel for.
He blamed himself, though it wasn't his fault. He could help, but yet she hid it so well. Nobody knew and that thought sent him to hell.
He now lives a lonely life, living with regrets and sorrow. He thinks about her when he wakes up, to the moment he goes to sleep. Letting his heart beat wander to a resting rate, he wishes it was himself, rather than the most beautiful girl in the world, inside and out.
He wishes she could've seen just how amazing she really was. Maybe if she did, she would've stayed for longer. Maybe she would've stuck around.
But that doesn't stop young Alex from finding happiness again, finding something or someone that could bring him as much happiness as she once did. Something or somebody to fill the gap, the gap she left so empty in his heart.
Though yet it's still filled, with all the feelings for her, he needs somebody to reel him into living again. For he doesn't want to sink deep within just as she did.
So this is it, this is his journey. Will he find himself sinking, or will he find somebody or something to live for? Will Alex ever find his happy medium? Read 'Diving Too Deep' to find out.
