"Everything happened so fast. Shards of glass decorated the floor as if to mimic petals. People at the back of class had a few cuts and bruises but weren't too seriously harmed. The thing that bothered Meghan the most was the screaming. Everyone in the class was screaming and panicking while the teacher struggled to get them in order. She tried to block it all out and focus on what she needed to do as if it was just her siblings getting into an argument at home while she was working on her homework, but it was barely close to working. Meghan stared at what used to be an intact window, to see a big man approximately in his forties staring right at her. She slowly backed away closer to the door but he wouldn't drop his stare. " Don't you ever just want to escape life? Just you can't bring yourself to run away and death is definitely not an option, so you're kind of stuck. You're stuck in this average life with average friends and an average school, the only thing not average is the ridiculously high amount of stress on you to do well. What if there was someone who changed that though? Someone who did what you could never bring yourself to do: run. Meghan was in the middle of a science test, first thing, Monday morning. It was her last test before midterms which were next week. "What is the difference between a cone of depression and subsidence?". That was the question. She was answering that question when her whole life changed juristically. He burst through the window with a gun. Next stop: New York

[COMPLETED] "Shoot," Joey mumbles, letting out a string of profanities under his breath. We turn around to find a group of men, all with guns, standing where we just came from, and they look pissed... probably because they were forced to run through this tunnel after us. "Thought you could get away, didn't you?" The man who I saw before asks. His husky voice booms in the hollow tunnel, reverberating off of the dirt walls. His voice sounds familiar, and a realization strikes me. It sounds like the man from my dream. I remember him holding a gun and wearing a blue suit, smiling evilly at me. "Leave us alone," Joey says, sounding dangerous and snapping me out of my thoughts. The levity of the situation hits-we need to get out of here. I look around for a route of escape and thankfully I see a light, literally, at the end of the second tunnel. I let out a small, almost inaudible, gasp and nudge Joey. He looks at me and I subtly gesture with my head to the second tunnel. He glances at it and immediately we are on the same page. His jaw sets and he looks at the group. The man speaks up again, chuckling darkly-a sound I will never forget and will be permanently etched into my brain, "You can thank your father for starting this mess." -------------------------- Liza was a normal teenaged girl, living the average life that an eighteen year old girl should be living.
