He took away the one feeling she really enjoyed coming from him she doesn't even know what happened to her. No trace of evidence. She was living happily but everyone around her grew ever so curious as to why she was cheerful after all he forgot about how the others knew who he was. This doesn't change things for her the only way it would have to change is if he came back from what he pronounced about not going back but having to die for a cause. He regrets these decisions. He has to live with a burden knowing that he didn't die due to someone saving him but who? She remembers nothing but her own happiness doesn't even know what happened to her.
