Carlee Anderson. She's quiet, she's quirky, she reads all the time and she doesn't believe in falling in love. Harry Styles. He's loud, he's popular, he sings all the time and he does believe in falling in love. When Carlee and her family move from the hustle and bustle of London to the more relaxed and quiet part of the country to Cheshire, Carlee finds herself questioning her philosophy of life on love. 'I don't want nor do I need to fall in love. All it does is cause pain and it's not even real.' That's how she would justify it. But, when she meets a certain curly haired boy, why does she all of a sudden find herself questioning everything? Because Carlee and Harry become really good friends, in a way that she has never experienced a friendship before, she becomes ignorant to what her heart is telling her and she acts as if nothing is going on. Carlee is so oblivious to the way Harry acts towards her and the way he treats her though, and Harry is falling head over heels for her. Can Carlee express how she feels before Harry moves on, just so he can cover up his emotional pain and heart ache? "Carlee? Why won't you let me get to know you properly? Seriously, you're like one of those Shakespeare books I could never understand..." He half heartedly laughed, but said seriously at the same time. "I guess you just have to learn to read me, Harry..." "You have no idea how much I've been trying, Carlee, no fricking idea..." And with that, he walked out of the kitchen area and sat motionless behind the cash register.

@RANDOM28lol contacted me with a story idea where they asked if they could write the poems in the story. I didn't feel like I could write the story they wanted me to but I asked them to send me one of the poems. The poem inspired me. ❤ So I suggested another concept of the story and they agreed. All the poems in the story are written by the talented @RANDOM28lol. Harry has lost his voice. He has been mute for years. Ever since his family was brutally murdered in their home. He suffers from PTSD and survivor's guilt. Thinking that not allowing himself to talk somehow honor the death of his family. It's a lonely life. He has no one to talk to. Doctors and therapists have given up on him. He writes poems as a way to express how he feels. He also writes at work. Running the gossip section of The Sun is something he despises but he's a journalist and he needs a job. No one tries to talk to him at work either. It's his own fault. But he hates how they go silent and then whisper about him as he enters the newsroom in the mornings. He keeps to himself. Until the new sports journalist catches his eye. Beautiful. Blue eyes. Wonderful smile. To his surprise, the man knows sign language and he's also determined to talk to him. Life as he knows it changes. It's scary. Will he be able to actually overcome his trauma? So @franzixidfc contacted me and asked if I couldn't write a book on her idea and this is the result. I tried to follow the basic storyline and added some myself. Harry and Louis were best friends when they were kids until Harry had to move away. Harry returned at the age 17 to his home town to live with his aunt. The kids in Ireland bullied him for the way he dressed. In his new school Harry noticed a loner that everyone called Tommo. There was something familiar with the boy but Harry doesn't make the connection at first.
