Nine words on a shitty looking flyer were all it took for Kathleen MacReady and her friends to set sail. It promised everything: Booze, a remote fishing community, the chance to snigger at backwater locals and their dated superstitions.
It should have been a relaxing weekend, a fun story to tell the folks back home. But from the moment they arrived, Kathleen knew something was off with the inhabitants of Janus island. Something dark, waiting beneath the surface of every smile, every wave. From the moment her and her friends set foot on its rocky shore, their fate was sealed.

Completed!! -- I could hear him running behind me. "HELP!" I started to scream the words repeatedly. I felt like I was the stupid, helpless girl in a horror film. I ran right into a fence and fell down. I got back up and turned around. Blake was right there. He pinned me up against the wood. "You are so stupid!" He chuckled. Not thinking twice, she answers all of them. Cathy feels guilty afterward, and never wants to talk to him again. But he wants to meet her.
