Emma and Jess are just two teenagers. Emma is the captain of the cheer squad and Jesse is the quarterback for the high school football team. Everything was happy until one night the world started to die. The dead woke up and they were hungry and just one bite or one scratch can turn you into one of them. No one is safe and there is no place to go that won't fall.
Except: "She died for me." I kept repeating to myself. After a couple of minutes of hiding, I hear a growl. My heart is racing and all I can think about is the past. How I went to church every Sunday, I had a life, I had good grades, and I had no family issues life was good but then the world broke and took all of that away and I'm left here dying alone....
