The night was dark. The air was crisp. And the low rumble of thunder was the only sound other than the running of feet.   Lightening flashed, lighting up a young woman running as fast as fast as she could on a sidewalk.    Suddenly a crack appeared upon the sidewalk. She tripped over the folds of her ruined skirt and fell.   Then there was a low rumble.   As she saw her hunter her heart began to beat hysterically.
