It's that time of the year again, the reaping. Where in every district sent one human and one bacca to fight to the death. Winning means fame and fortune. Losing means death. 17(I know Mitch is 19 but go with it) year old Mitchell Hughes takes his brother's place in these games. He has never been so close to death. With his trusty bacca at his side. Jerome has has feelings for Mitch but he doesn't know it Mitch feels the same way.

Family First
Death. That wasn't a word the family of five would use. It started to become a normal word for the Wingtips when their beautiful mother gets cancer. This mother had 3 boys who all had different personalities, the oldest Ezra who is 16 and has freckles all over his nose and long blue hair, he never likes to talk but will when is comfortable and he is really close to his mother. The middle son who is 12, Ebba is told he is strong like animals he has platinum blond hair like his father and will hurt anyone who hurts him, his friends and brothers. The youngest of the sons is Ash who is 6 he is full of joy and would give anyone a hug and would do anything to make his family happy. But after Ezra 16th birthday things go downhill when his mother gets sick and dies his dad has to return to the FBI to help catch the second generation of criminals, Ezra has a close call to Death twice and they get sent to a boarding school. Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more.
