Jatu and her only surviving child, Ambra, reside in the outskirts of the massive kingdom of Wicka. While trying to provide for and protect her child, Jatu has made an agreement to use her gift of healing to revive the members of highly aggressive swordsman group, The Steel Hounds. In the attempt to escape their control Jatu risked her and her daughter's life by lowering the strength in numbers. To pay for her crime against the criminals they demand her daughter's life, but Jatu sacrifices herself for her daughter to make it to the heart of the kingdom and survive. Once there, Ambra comes across a familiar man, Udo, with this father figure just happening to show up when she gets into trouble she feels like she could end the Steel Hounds once and for all. Until, she meets Runt. A trainee of the group that had been sent to lure her back. With Runt having an inner conflict on leaving his family behind to be with Ambra, or to take her in, he faces tremendous thoughts on how he should go about his decisions. With her life full of trauma and loss, Ambra must either give up and die or continue fighting with her being to save the peace and diversity of Wicka.
