We didn't know what hit us before it was too late. As far as I know no one could prepare for the nightmare that we would all be living. The moment I saw the dead rise, I knew that all of humanity would fall. It was just the three of us dad, Caleb and I, our mom wasn't in the picture much, we don't know what happened to her. Jake is our step dad but he's definitely been more of a parent to us as if he was our dad. He was there for us more than mom, she has a secret but I haven't been able to figure that out. Together we packed up our stuff and moved to the southern part of Georgia, found an abandoned settlement and built what we liked to call Haven Point.

It happened. They were right. All those people we laughed at, that we thought were crazy, they knew. We thought everything was going to be fine but it's not, and I don't think it ever will be again. They stored food and water. They built bunkers under ground. While they were working hard to keep there family safe we scoffed and thought nothing of it. Now look at us, the world is a disaster.
