In which Lee Minseo receives a text from a stranger who dramatically changes her life for the worse. Will the police be able to catch the criminal?

"Jungkook, you need to get to the police station." The man on the phone sounded panicked.
"Why?" He lazily asked. "It's my day off."
"It's a one eighty-seven."

Jungkook suddenly leaped out of bed, shoved on some nearby clothes and grabbed his wallet, ending the call.
"I've gotta go," Jungkook told Minseo, his girlfriend. "I'm so sorry, it's really important stuff at work. I promise I'll make it up to you."

"Don't apologise if it's work. I'll see you later." She smiled, and he returned one, before dashing off out the house. As soon as he left, Minseo locked the door and grabbed the laptop from the living room, typing in 'Police code 187,' the results sending a cold chill down her spine.

187 (slang) Section 187 of the California Penal Code...
