Zero to Chihiro (The World of Miyazaki Fanfic)

As far as she knows, nineteen year old Chihiro Ogino has always lead a perfectly boring life. The most exciting thing that ever happened to her was getting accepted into college in the United States, away from her native Japan, but even that is just going to college like every other modern youngster. After being invited by a fellow Japan native, Kiki, on a whim to a Miyazaki film night, Chi meets another kindred soul, Mei Kusakabe. When the movie is over, the three feel a connection to each other, but can't put their finger on exactly why. They decide to walk home together and come across an off-the-wall old woman with a mysterious message. Soon, they find themselves caught in a world that feels as familiar as it does foreign. There they discover magic, mystery, adventure, friendship, and ultimately, their truths.
