In the year 2057, Idols are a worldwide phenomenon and no longer a niche interest coming from Japan and Korea. However, the definition of an idol is different now. Idols compete in a digital setting, performing against each other in solo acts and groups to be the top idol. It's a bloodthirsty and intense industry, one that most wouldn't want to be a part of.

However, some places have made being an idol mandatory for a select few of the population. The Idol Draw is a biennial lottery that selects random teenage girls to become idols, no exceptions. Most don't make it, and very few are lucky enough to become successful idols.

Worlds Collide: Into the Digital Realm oleh Tantei_riku_07

Idolish7, having triumphed in the Black and White competition, now stand at the pinnacle of the idol world, celebrated as the top idols on the verge of reaching Zero. While celebrating their victory alongside their rival groups Revale, Zool, and Trigger an unexpected earthquake shakes the ground, forcing the idols to halt their celebration and seek refuge. As the quake subsides and the group ventures outside to assess the damage, they are met with an astonishing sight. The familiar high-rise apartments, security booths, are gone. In their place lies an entirely unfamiliar landscape-mountains, fallen buildings, and trees bearing bright, colourful apples unlike any they've seen before. The place also seemed to be devoid of life...except for them. Now stranded in this strange new world, the idols soon encounter Digital Monsters and discover that they're not alone. Other humans who have also ended up in this bizarre, digital realm are also trying to figure out what happened and how to return home. Together, they must navigate this unfamiliar world, facing off against villains and uncovering the mysteries of the digital landscape, fighting for survival and a way back home. Idol (Selection Project rewrite/inspired story) oleh j7j7j7j

If you've watched the anime Selection Project, then this is a darker (edgier) rewrite of that with some similar characters and also some original characters. If you haven't, then the story is about a group of 9 girls that come together to compete in an idol reality TV show over several rounds, and the winner will get to become a real idol. In the original story, the characters are threatened with elimination, but it never really happens and they all get to win together. However, in this version of the story, elimination cannot be avoided, and the girls all have their own emotional hang-ups that bring them into conflict with one another as they compete to make their dreams come true. This is the first story I ever wrote and completed, so it might be pretty rough around the edges, but I thought I might as well throw it out there. Hope you enjoy, and any criticisms and feedback are appreciated! (Just don't be too mean haha)

School Idols: A popular type of idols that originated from Japan. It was so popular, that the most popular group was made the ruler of all school idols. The popularity had reach its peak to the point that it influences the government and its laws. After μ's has won Love Live! and has urged the emperor to give his empire to theirs. The royal family then disappeared, spared for a few members who would guide μ's in leading the empire. Honoka zi Kosaka wanted the group to remain popular, but was unable to do so. Umi la Sonoda and Eli el Ayase had given laws that eventually led to the oppression of other school idol groups. This led to groups losing popularity, with each group either getting subjugated by the empire, now called the Sacred μ's Empire, or fighting against it. School Idols tried to gain popularity by either doing it the traditional way, by songs, dances and performances, or by doing things that is pretty much obscene. Those who wanted to fight the empire rushed to get the Knightmare Frames left by the former empire, while the Sacred μ's Empire started deploying and improving them. Fans of their respective school idols were deployed to fight alongside their favourites, often sacrificing themselves for them. While at Tokyo, Yoshiko vi Tsushima had came into contact with the chairwoman of Nijigasaki High School, who granted her the power of Geass. Will she succeed and change the world of school idols? Or would she fail and let the world of schools be as it is now? No one knows.
