In the year 2057, Idols are a worldwide phenomenon and no longer a niche interest coming from Japan and Korea. However, the definition of an idol is different now. Idols compete in a digital setting, performing against each other in solo acts and groups to be the top idol. It's a bloodthirsty and intense industry, one that most wouldn't want to be a part of.

However, some places have made being an idol mandatory for a select few of the population. The Idol Draw is a biennial lottery that selects random teenage girls to become idols, no exceptions. Most don't make it, and very few are lucky enough to become successful idols.

Seina Osagawa is your average 15 year old girl, and she's one of the lucky 'winners' of the 32nd Idol Draw. Teaming up with other girls she's never even met before, can she make it as an idol, or is it game over for her?All Rights Reserved

If you've watched the anime Selection Project, then this is a darker (edgier) rewrite of that with some similar characters and also some original characters. If you haven't, then the story is about a group of 9 girls that come together to compete in an idol reality TV show over several rounds, and the winner will get to become a real idol. In the original story, the characters are threatened with elimination, but it never really happens and they all get to win together. However, in this version of the story, elimination cannot be avoided, and the girls all have their own emotional hang-ups that bring them into conflict with one another as they compete to make their dreams come true. This is the first story I ever wrote and completed, so it might be pretty rough around the edges, but I thought I might as well throw it out there. While celebrating their victory alongside their rival groups Revale, Zool, and Trigger an unexpected earthquake shakes the ground, forcing the idols to halt their celebration and seek refuge. As the quake subsides and the group ventures outside to assess the damage, they are met with an astonishing sight. The familiar high-rise apartments, security booths, are gone. Together, they must navigate this unfamiliar world, facing off against villains and uncovering the mysteries of the digital landscape, fighting for survival and a way back home.
