The shadow rider

the flames surrounded the building the same as they did years ago. i thought she was gone, that she was only but a myth these days. disappearing off the earth like an extinguished fire. but the residue remained. her ash and smog and burns remained haunting the streets of New York. she is different now, different motives, different speed, she is not as sarcastic as before. maybe she is something like a Phoenix, rising from her ashes as a new. i don't know, but she is back, and all of New York knows it.
