Princess Peach was the sole leader of the Mushroom Kingdom. It was her duty to govern it, as well as ensure the safety of all of its residents, whether they be Toads, or even Goombas.
Being the only ruler did cause a few problems, one of them being almost a regular dose of kidnapping for the Koopa King, who we all know as Bowser.
Being locked up in a room all herself is what we generally picture as Peach's fate when she's swooped away by Bowser's signature clown car, but is that really what happens?
A/N: I do not own the Mario franchise or any of its characters, I only own the plot!

Mario, an average handyman living in New Donk City lands the opportunity of a lifetime to spend a couple days abroad in the Mushroom Kingdom for work. Little does he know that his life will forever change when the dastardly Lord Bowser, king of the koopas, interrupts the banquet at Castle Toadstool to steal the Mushroom Kingdom's most treasured artifacts, the Power Stars, and one of the stars chooses Mario as the one and only person able to stop Bowser's evil plans before they come to light.
