They don't hit it off very well with his sudden rude attitude and her need to know what's up. Alma knows he's hiding something and she knows she has something to do with it. All she needs to do is find out what.
She isn't but an entity in the society of dependants.
But she is no longer alone, and she comes to realize that maybe she wasn't alone all along.
