"You'll never be able to resist me, Nur" He said marching towards me in powerful strides. For each of his strides I took four steps back.

"Don't be so sure Vincent, I could reject you here and now if I wanted too." I muttered hoping to the moon goddess that id have a chance for survival if I shifted.

His beautiful green eyes flashed as he advanced faster.

"Don't fucking mess with me! You can go ahead and try me." He growled.

I turned, shifted, and sprinted dead into the woods, ignoring the howl that sounded in the night.

All I did was run.

In this world where the strong reigns surpreme, how was a weak wolf like Starr supposed to survive? Especially with a recessive wolf that rarely interacted with her. Will her tormenting ever be over? 《Short Preview》 "You're marked by another," he stated cooly, his eyes drilling into the puncture wound that decorated my neck. Despite the calm his voice carried, my body shuddered at the pressure behind his words and the hidden dangers that laid beneath his gaze. I trembled and averted my eyes with pursed lips, trying my best to be brave. "So what? I'm a mated wolf now, which means I was never meant to be yours." His eyes narrowed in on my face as they swirled with reckless abandon. "What was made for me will forever be mine. That pup that you went and played with can't stop me from tearing that mark off your shoulder." My eyes snapped up to his in surprise as I gawked in disbelief... and a little ounce of foreboding at the man before me, "y-you can't do that!" He raised an eyebrow, "Oh? Are you gonna stop me?" I couldn't help but retort, "My mate would kill you!" His voice heightened as he finally lost his cool and snarled, "I'M YOUR MATE! There isn't a person on this earth that could kill me, let alone your bastard. You should be worried about what I'll do to HIM for forcing himself on MY WOMAN!" I flinched and took a few cautious steps backwards. Then I whispered, "who are you?" The man's lips tilted up into a ridiculing smile as he replied, "I'm the part of your soul that you chose to forsake."

*COMPLETED* My head bowed in a heavy mannor, not in respect, but in trepidation. I discern his unwavering gaze over my ill silhouette. "Look at me." I opened my eyes, though it made no difference. Black is still black, all I am left with are my four senses. He will kill me if I don't look. He will kill me if I do. He will look into my sightless eyes and see my futile existence isn't worth living. He will kill me, and he will be doing the pack a justice by it. He growls a low, throaty snarl to warn me about disobeying an alpha. There will be consequences, we both know that. His lingering growls let me know he is not going to allow me to contravene his word. I steadily inch my head upwards, visibly shaking everywhere else. Maybe he won't notice my depthless eyes from across the gazebo. My life depends on it. "You're blind." ~ Monet was born into a particularly prestigious area of her wolf pack, to parents of extremely high standards. Her legacy is to become the packs next healer, but when she was born completely devoid of melanin, all her mated parents saw was a disappointment. Being born an albino wolf pup meant a lot for Monet, but it mostly meant her condition had taken her eyesight along with it. What happens when Monet meets the Alpha of a neighboring pack? Will he accept her for what she is? ~CONTENT WARNING~ This book contains depictions of physical abuse, foul language, and upsetting scenary. "Go to your room!" He roared. I wanted to run towards him, yell, scream, attack, do anything. But I didn't. I obeyed. I just couldn't help it. I silently slinked down the pack house corridor; taking a quick glance at the glowing moon that beamed outside the window. My body pushed me forward, making me ignore my mother's screams. He was killing her. And I just kept walking. I turned the golden doorknob of my solitary box, still walking no matter how hard I tried to fight it. He had control of me, and I could do nothing about it. I walked over to my plain bed that laid blandly in the corner. My body then commanded me to lay down. Why didn't I do anything? Why can't I ever do anything? I began to claw murderously at my chest, a pool of blood now seeping its way through my nightshirt. "Grey! Help me! Don't let him kill me! Wake up Grey! Don't let him kill me!" I looked up to see my mother's blood covered body standing in my doorway.

I will not help you rule a pack who has spent weeks mocking me and threatening to harm my Protected as a way to get a rise out of me. Do you expect me to believe their sudden desire for me to be their Luna? Am I supposed to trust their sudden respect? Your sudden devotion to me?" "Please. You're my Mate, their Luna," he pleaded. "Like you said, I'm sure you can find a more suitable Luna for your pack. After all, why accept me when neither you nor your people want me?" I said, throwing his words back at him.
