Steam and a burgeoning fuel age power a world where people struggle to make ends meet. This globe of industry and smoke is on the brink of war as tensions between nations begin to boil over.

In the annex of Londinium, the automaton Kath-E learns about the life she can't remember and the world she struggles to understand with the help of a woman from her past.

Cecylla, disparaged and homeless, tries to find some sense of self-worth as the nation of Gaul prepares for war. She is determined to keep Gaul from this path of destruction even if it means bringing down her own nation around her.

The cyborg Axel lives under the glowing lights of Neon Nation, but nothing is quite as pristine as the rest of the world makes this hyper-advanced country out to be. Inside of its closed borders people are worked like slaves and lead lives unfulfilled in the neon glow.

These disconnected people try to survive in this harsh world as all that they know crumbles around them and the world sets down the course of its first world war.All Rights Reserved

I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose.
