Professor Sykes is a classical composer in the late twenty-fourth century. Lately, he's been struggling with a number of things, including hallucinations of a young foreigner who is an enthusiastic fan of the Professor's works. Sykes knows it's impossible for anyone to enter Old London, since the Great War caused many borders to be closed. Still, the mysterious Shaforostov (whom Sykes may or may not fancy, just a little) has managed to make his way into Sykes' life and seems to have no intention of leaving.
