With the exception of her dog, Buddy, who always seems to be in places he shouldn't be. Ryder and Buddy have gone way back and Ryder just so happens to cross a certain someones territory.

Alpha Victor is the Alpha to the most powerful and biggest pack in the world. He's always wanted his mate and when he meets Ryder he is intrigued, he doesn't understand her at all and when he finds out that they are mates he finds it a challenge to even talk to her.

Ryder hates the authorities but Victor can't help but always follow them. He is an arrogant, cocky mate and Ryder learns that quickly. Victor learns that she's cocky too, with witty comebacks and he becomes even more intrigued.

How can these two even talk, rather than love each other? Will they ever even love each other?
